The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced the temporary closure of its Rancho Cucamonga office for renovation. The office, located at 8629 Hellman Ave., will close on July 24 at 5 p.m. for roof repair and parking lot resurfacing and striping. It is expected to reopen on August 18 at 8 a.m.
During the closure, customers can visit nearby DMV offices in Fontana, Pomona, Norco, or San Bernardino. The DMV encourages customers to utilize online services for most transactions that do not require an office visit.
"The DMV has taken many steps to offer additional digital services," the department stated. Customers are advised to use online options for tasks such as driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals.
For those interested in paperless notices for vehicle registration and driver’s license renewals, the DMV suggests creating a secure online account at dmv.ca.gov.
