Governor Gavin Newsom has announced a series of appointments to key positions within California's state agencies. Dina El-Tawansy has been named Director of the California Department of Transportation. El-Tawansy, from San Leandro, has held various roles within the department since 1998 and most recently served as District 4 Director. Her appointment requires Senate confirmation, and she will receive a compensation of $227,388. El-Tawansy is affiliated with the Democratic Party.
Marta Barlow, residing in El Dorado Hills, has been appointed Chief Counsel at the Office of the Inspector General.
