The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced the reopening of its Reedley office at a new location. The office will open its doors at 1890 E. Dinuba Ave. on Wednesday, February 26, starting at 9 a.m. This move follows the permanent closure of the previous site at 558 E. Dinuba Ave., which ceased operations on February 7.
The new facility boasts a significant increase in size, now spanning 13,205 square feet—three times larger than the former location. This expansion aims to improve service for all customers, including those with disabilities, and includes increased customer parking.
The DMV continues to emphasize its digital services, encouraging customers to complete transactions online whenever possible. "Most DMV tasks do not require an office visit," states the DMV, highlighting that many simple self-service transactions are no longer available in physical offices.
Customers are advised to utilize the DMV's online services and other channels for tasks such as driver's license and vehicle registration renewals. Additionally, the Service Advisor tool on the DMV website can help users determine how best to complete their DMV-related tasks.
For those interested in receiving paperless notices for vehicle registration and driver's license renewals, creating a secure online account and registering at dmv.ca.gov is necessary.
