Colombia continues to lead in web searches for Miami real estate, according to a recent report by the Miami Association of Realtors. In November, 11.2% of international searches on MiamiRealtors.com originated from Colombia, marking the country as the largest foreign group interested in Miami properties.
For 32 consecutive months, Colombia has been among the top two countries searching online for Miami real estate. Additionally, Colombia is recognized as the leading international buyer across all South Florida real estate markets.
India is also making its presence felt in this domain, with 6.8% of searches coming from there. Gus Fonte, Chairman of the Board for the Miami Association of Realtors in 2024, stated that India "has now posted two consecutive top three searching months for Miami real estate," highlighting the variety of countries interested in this market.
Russia ranked second with 8.1% of international searches focused on Miami homes.
On a city level, Bogotá in Colombia led global cities searching for properties in Miami, followed by Buenos Aires and Madrid. Mumbai secured fourth place.
Florida remains a preferred destination for international home buyers and has held this position for 15 years based on data from the National Association of Realtors. Last year saw 47% of Florida's home sales by foreign buyers concentrated in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach area.
Within the United States, New York was identified as the top state looking at Miami real estate last month, while Atlanta was noted as having the highest number of city-based searches nationwide.
