Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent is set to travel with President Donald J. Trump to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea.

During his visit to Malaysia, Secretary Bessent will meet with Vice Premier He Lifeng of the People’s Republic of China. The agenda includes discussions about trade relations between the United States and China. In addition, he will take part in the 47th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit held in Kuala Lumpur.

In Japan, Secretary Bessent is scheduled to join President Trump during a state visit in Tokyo.

While in South Korea, Secretary Bessent will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) South Korea 2025 Forum in Gyeongju.
