Treasury Secretary Bessent meets Greek finance minister to discuss trade and security

Last week, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent held a meeting with Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Greece’s Minister of National Economy and Finance. The discussion focused on the economic relationship between the United States and Greece, including trade and investment. Both officials also highlighted the importance of working together on national security matters.

“The need for cooperation on national security issues was stressed,” according to a statement from both Secretary Bessent and Minister Pierrakakis.

The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
