The incident, which occurred on March 8, 2025, is being examined by the State Fire Marshal’s Office after their assistance was requested for what is considered a suspicious fire on Old Petross Circle in Montgomery County.

Commissioner King stated, "Upon extinguishment, three areas of origin were identified. Investigators observed damage on four vehicles, the porch of a structure, and less than a quarter acre of land." He further noted that "the cause of the fire is classified as incendiary."
