Netflix has released a new true crime docuseries titled "Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey," revisiting the unresolved murder of the six-year-old beauty queen. The series, which premiered on November 25, examines the case through interviews with JonBenét's father, John Ramsey, and various lawyers and journalists involved over the years.

The documentary features poignant home videos of JonBenét at her family's Boulder, Colorado residence. This location is where her body was found on December 26, 1996, in the basement. Police determined she had been murdered on Christmas Day. An autopsy concluded that strangulation was the cause of death.

Before discovering her body, the Ramsey family believed JonBenét had been kidnapped after finding a ransom note demanding $118,000. Hours later, John Ramsey discovered his daughter's body in their home's basement. He recounts this discovery in the series: "My friend and I went downstairs... I saw one of the windows was open and broken."

He further describes finding JonBenét with tape over her mouth and her hands bound: "I immediately pulled the tape off and tried to untie her hands but couldn't get it undone."

The series includes crime scene footage and photographs while exploring suspicions about a possible break-in. It also highlights how old family photos contrast with subsequent images of police tape surrounding their decorated home.

Despite extensive investigations by Boulder police over many years, JonBenét's murder remains unsolved. The former Ramsey home has been difficult to sell due to its grim history. Purchased by John and Patsy Ramsey in 1991 for $500,000, it changed ownership several times before being listed for as much as $7.25 million in recent years without success.

John Ramsey participated in this documentary; his wife Patsy died from cancer in 2006.
