Governor Newsom to announce plan for California's film industry

In Los Angeles County, Governor Newsom is set to reveal a significant proposal aimed at enhancing California's film and television industry. This announcement will take place on Sunday.

California holds the largest share of the film and TV economy in the United States. The state's film and TV production supports over 700,000 jobs and contributes nearly $70 billion in wages for workers within the state.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 27th at 1:45 p.m. PT. It will be livestreamed on the CA Governor Twitter page, CA Governor Facebook page, and the CA Governor YouTube page.

The press event will be open exclusively to credentialed media. Interested media personnel must RSVP by emailing govpressoffice@gov.ca.gov no later than 11 a.m., October 27. Details will be included in the RSVP confirmation note.
