ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a residential structure fire in Dublin is under investigation.
“On Wednesday, August 14th, our investigators responded to a request by city of Dublin officials to examine a potential arson on South Jefferson Street,” said Commissioner King. “With the assistance of an Ignitable Liquid K9 Detection unit, two areas of origin were determined inside the structure. I am asking anyone with information to call the 24/7 Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.”
A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for arson. Callers may remain anonymous.
One occupant was injured as a result of the fire and is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. The office is working with the Dublin Fire Department and Dublin Police Department on this investigation.
