The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced that its Rancho Cucamonga office, located at 8629 Hellman Ave., will reopen to the public at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 18. The office had been closed since July 24 to allow for roof repairs and improvements to the parking lot.

According to the DMV, “The Rancho Cucamonga office will reopen to the public on August 18. Most customers can save a trip to the office and do their DMV business online at dmv.ca.gov.”

The agency highlighted its efforts to expand digital services for customers. Many transactions, such as driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals, can be completed through the DMV’s online platform or other remote service channels rather than in person. Self-service transactions that were previously available in offices are now offered online.

Customers are encouraged to use the Service Advisor tool on the DMV website to find out how they can complete various tasks without visiting an office. Those interested in receiving paperless notices for vehicle registration and driver’s license renewals can opt in by creating a secure account and registering through the DMV’s website.

For more information about available services or to access digital tools, customers can visit https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/.
