Fans of Elin Hilderbrand’s best-selling novel have been anticipating the adaptation of “The Perfect Couple,” a story centered around the death of a bridesmaid just before a high-profile wedding on Nantucket. The 2018 novel has been transformed into a star-studded television series premiering on Netflix on September 5, featuring Nicole Kidman in the lead role. Kidman portrays the groom’s mother, while Liev Schreiber plays her husband. Dakota Fanning and Meghann Fahy are also part of the cast.

Set against the backdrop of Nantucket, known for its luxurious beach homes and stunning coastal views, the limited series was filmed primarily in Chatham, MA, and Nantucket. The show features picturesque settings that add to the drama and intrigue of the storyline.

Jack Bohman, a real estate agent with Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty in Chatham, commented on one notable property: “It’s rare to find a turnkey house that allows one to park their car and walk to downtown and even the beach.” He was referring to a three-bedroom home listed at $3,299,000.

Chris Rhinesmith, managing director at Compass in Chatham, noted that despite filming activities involving celebrities like Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber, local residents remained unfazed. “Sometimes when stars come to a small town, there’s a fixation on celebrity sightings, but here in Chatham, it was really under the radar,” he said.

One prominent listing includes an eight-bedroom mansion perched atop Sconset Bluff on Nantucket priced at $26,850,000. This property features sunset views over the ocean along with a two-bedroom guest cottage.

In addition to these high-end properties is another notable listing at 1 Ocean Avenue in Nantucket priced at $29,500,000. This estate includes four different buildings on its lot: a main house built in 1920 along with additional accommodations such as a rec cottage and chauffeur’s cottage.

Real estate prices in these areas reflect both coastal exclusivity and lifestyle appeal with price tags climbing into multimillion-dollar figures.
