Governor Gavin Newsom is set to hold a virtual press conference alongside key state health officials. The event, scheduled for May 12 at 1 p.m., will include California Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kim Johnson and Director of the California Department of Health Care Services Michelle Baass. The focus will be on addressing the state’s mental health and homelessness crisis.

The announcement is part of Governor Newsom’s ongoing efforts to transform behavioral health services for seriously ill and homeless populations in California. The conference will be streamed live on the Governor’s Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube pages. It will also be accessible to TV stations via the LiveU Matrix under “California Governor.”
