Governor Gavin Newsom has signed several bills into law, according to an announcement from his office on July 29, 2025. The legislation includes AB 104 by Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel (D-Encino), known as the Budget Act of 2025, AB 138 by the Committee on Budget regarding state employment and state bargaining units, and SB 119 by the Committee on Budget and Fiscal Review, which is a public services trailer bill.
