The Surplus Property Division of the Department of Administrative Services announced on Mar. 10 that Governor Brian P. Kemp has issued a proclamation recognizing March as Asset Management Awareness Month in Georgia.

The announcement highlights the important role asset and property managers play in saving the state millions of dollars each year and supporting efficient government operations. The recognition aims to encourage reflection on the impact of asset management work across Georgia.

“Thank you to all the property and asset managers throughout the state for the amazing work you perform every day. Asset and property managers help save the State millions of dollars annually and contribute to making Georgia one of the best-managed states in the U.S. This month, take a moment to reflect on how your work impacts Georgia and give yourself applause,” said the statement from the Surplus Property Division.
