Goldberg Segalla has announced the addition of Christopher J. Major to its Workers’ Compensation group based in Newark.

Christopher J. Major is recognized for his extensive experience as a workers’ compensation attorney, offering counsel and defense to employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in New Jersey and New York. His legal expertise spans the entire litigation process from initial referral through case closure. He provides detailed legal action plans at the onset of cases, manages court proceedings, and conducts depositions with treating physicians and independent medical examination (IME) doctors on critical issues such as causal relationship, medical necessity, and permanency. Furthermore, he negotiates settlements and stipulations.

Major’s professional background includes prosecuting reimbursement actions on behalf of workers’ compensation carriers in both New Jersey Superior Courts and New York Supreme Courts. His cases have covered a broad range of matters including personal injury involving premises liability, products liability, New York Labor Law “Scaffold” claims, general negligence issues; motor vehicle accidents under New Jersey’s “Verbal Threshold” law; actions against claimants following N.Y. WCL Section 114-a fraud findings; as well as motions/orders to show cause related to enforcing settlement agreements and litigants’ rights.

Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of New Jersey and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.
