Goldberg Segalla has announced that several of its practice groups and attorneys have been recognized in the 2025 Chambers USA Guide. The firm’s Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation and Counsel, Employment and Labor, and Global Insurance Services practice groups received rankings. Attorneys Christopher J. Belter, David L. Brown, Michael A. Hamilton, David S. Osterman, and Christopher P. Maugans were also individually ranked.

Chambers USA is known for providing comprehensive rankings based on client interviews and evaluations by over 200 analysts. The firm evaluates legal ability, client service, commercial vision, business understanding, diligence, value, and team depth.

The following Goldberg Segalla practice groups are ranked in the 2025 Chambers USA Guide:

– Commercial Litigation in Upstate New York
– Construction Litigation and Counsel in New York
– Employment and Labor in Upstate New York
– Global Insurance Services in Pennsylvania

The following attorneys from Goldberg Segalla received individual rankings:

Christopher J. Belter earned a Band 3 ranking in both Construction for New York State and Litigation: General Commercial for Upstate New York.

David L. Brown was ranked Band 1 in Insurance for North Carolina.

Michael A. Hamilton received a Band 2 ranking in Insurance for Pennsylvania.

Christopher P. Maugans was ranked Band 3 in Labor and Employment for Upstate New York.

David S. Osterman achieved a Band 3 ranking in Litigation: Product Liability for New Jersey.

Goldberg Segalla’s Commercial Litigation group retained its Band 3 ranking with Chambers USA commending their “commitment to excellence” across various legal services including complex litigation arising from multi-jurisdictional transactions.

In Construction Litigation and Counsel, the group earned a Band 4 ranking with clients describing it as “a full-service law firm with highly qualified attorneys.”

The Employment and Labor group maintained its Band 2 ranking with recognition for strong knowledge of public sector labor laws.

The Global Insurance Services group achieved a Band 3 ranking with Michael A. Hamilton being noted as “a leader in the field.” David L. Brown’s top-tier status was highlighted by clients who praised his understanding of North Carolina’s collegiality.

Finally, David S. Osterman was acknowledged as “a highly regarded lawyer” within product liability matters by Chambers USA.
