State offices across Georgia are set to operate as usual on Monday, February 2, according to a recent announcement. However, agency leaders have been advised to use their judgment in areas that may still be affected by icy or hazardous road conditions. In such cases, they are encouraged to allow remote work or delayed arrivals for state employees.

The State of Emergency declared by Governor Brian P. Kemp will remain in effect through February 6, 2026. More information about the executive order and related press releases can be found on the governor’s official website.

Employees are reminded to review the State Telework Policy and recent advisories regarding absences due to emergency closures. The Inclement Weather Policy provides details on how to access information about office closures and includes a Frequently Asked Questions document for emergency situations.

The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency continues to monitor winter weather conditions and will provide updates through its website at https://gema.georgia.gov/ and social media channels. Residents are also encouraged to follow updates from the National Weather Service and local news outlets for the latest information.
