Despite claims from some political figures, gas prices in California are lower than they were a week, month, and year ago. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gasoline is $4.51 as of Tuesday morning. This figure represents a decrease of four cents compared to last week, 14 cents less than last month, and 24 cents below the same time last year.

Former President Trump recently stated that gas prices in California were between $6 and $7 per gallon. However, this statement does not align with the current data reported by AAA.
