The Colorado Division of Insurance is seeking public input on a draft bulletin related to Medicare Advantage Plans and potential reductions in service areas for 2026. The proposed bulletin, titled “DRAFT Proposed New Bulletin B-4.XXX Concerning the Division’s Request for Information Regarding Medicare Advantage Plans and Service Area Reductions,” addresses concerns about insurers offering Medicare Advantage Plans withdrawing from certain regions or counties in Colorado.

According to the division, the goal of this data request is to gather information from insurers regarding planned service area reductions for the upcoming year. This effort aims to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries receive accurate and timely information about their coverage options.

The division has invited stakeholders and members of the public to submit comments on the draft bulletin by 5 PM on October 30, 2025. Comments should be sent to DORA_INS_RulesandRecords@state.co.us.

Draft regulations and bulletins currently open for informal public comment are available on the Division’s DRAFT Regulations and Bulletins for Informal Public Comment website.
