Chubb Limited announced on April 9 that Kevin Rampe has been appointed Senior Vice President, Chubb Group, Global Claims Officer. Rampe will also continue his role as Head of North America Claims.
This appointment places Rampe in charge of overseeing global claims management for the company, which operates in 54 countries and territories according to the official website. The move reflects Chubb’s focus on strengthening its executive claims management and service capabilities across its worldwide network.
Rampe will report to Evan G. Greenberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Chubb Limited and Chubb Group, as well as John Keogh, President and Chief Operating Officer at Chubb Group. In his North America role, he will report to Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President at Chubb Group and President of North America Insurance. “Kevin is an outstanding leader with a deep command of claims strategy, a proven ability to innovate, and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients,” said Greenberg.
Keogh said: “Claims is the fundamental promise of what we sell in every insurance product, and our capabilities are a core and defining strength of this company. Kevin has my full trust in further enhancing the world-class experience we provide globally.” According to the official website, Greenberg serves as a key figure in Chubb’s leadership as chairman and CEO since its formation through the 2016 acquisition of the original Chubb Corporation under its current name.
Rampe joined Chubb in 2005 as Global Compliance Officer before holding several senior legal roles within the company. Earlier in his career he served at public agencies including President and Chairman of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) and First Deputy Superintendent of the New York State Insurance Department.
Chubb provides commercial and personal property and casualty insurance along with supplemental health coverage, reinsurance, life insurance products worldwide according to information from its official website. The company employs approximately 45,000 people globally.
