Chubb appoints Brian Church as division president for international property and casualty

Brian Church has been appointed as Division President of Property and Casualty for Chubb Overseas General Insurance, the international general insurance division of Chubb. The company announced that Church will be responsible for overseeing the international commercial property and casualty insurance business, which includes property, casualty, professional lines, energy, and marine product lines. He will continue to be based in New York City and report to Paul McNamee, Executive Vice President of Chubb Group and President of Overseas General Insurance.

Paul McNamee stated: “Brian is a highly skilled underwriter and a proven leader with a track record of successfully navigating complex markets and emerging risks. His expertise and strategic vision make him the ideal choice to drive the growth of our international P&C business and deliver enhanced value to partners and clients worldwide.”

Church has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Chubb in 2005 and most recently served as Executive Vice President of Property, Construction, Power Generation, Energy, Terrorism, and Political Violence for Chubb Overseas General Insurance. In this role, he led the accelerated growth of Chubb’s international property portfolio and took advantage of opportunities in emerging markets.

Chubb operates in 54 countries and territories and provides a range of commercial and personal insurance products.
