Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan and Ambetter Health, both products of Centene Corporation, will offer a range of health insurance plans to residents in 150 Texas counties for the 2026 plan year. The open enrollment period on the Health Insurance Marketplace begins November 1, 2025, and ends January 15, 2026. Residents who enroll by December 15 will have coverage starting January 1.

“For more than a decade, Texans have had access to quality and affordable health insurance through Ambetter Health,” said Mitch Wasden, Plan President and Chief Executive Officer of Superior HealthPlan. “In 2026, we are confident the variety of healthcare programs we’re offering are going to meet the needs of all those we serve.”

The plans include coverage for essential health benefits such as preventive care, maternity services, pediatric care, mental health services, hospitalizations, and prescription drugs. Some options also cover dental and vision care.

Ambetter Health Solutions provides individual health insurance plans that work with Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs). This service is available in select states including Texas and allows employers to give employees customizable coverage options while helping manage costs.

Starting in 2026, certain Premier plans will provide members managing diabetes with additional support. These members may see lower out-of-pocket expenses for medications and supplies related to diabetes management. There are also $0 copays for preferred insulin and selected medications used for conditions like high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Certain diabetic supplies and labs will also be covered at no cost.

Enrollment can be completed online via Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan or Ambetter Health websites using mobile devices. The system saves progress if applicants cannot finish enrollment at once.

Members can participate in the My Health Pays program to earn up to $500 in rewards during 2026 by completing healthy activities. These rewards can be used toward various health-related expenses except pharmacy copays.

Virtual care is available around the clock through telehealth services for common illnesses such as flu or skin conditions.

To help members understand their coverage during renewal periods, Ambetter Health offers tools like Member Advisory Group meetings, a mobile app, member portal, and digital support resources such as Wellframe.

A full list of counties where these plans are offered is available at ambetterhealth.com/en/tx/health-plans/coverage-map. More information about enrolling is provided at ambetterhealth.com/en/tx.

Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan serves under-insured and uninsured populations through exclusive provider organization (EPO) products underwritten by Celtic Insurance Company and HMO products underwritten by Superior HealthPlan Inc., both qualified issuers in the Texas marketplace. Further details about non-discrimination rights or assistance services can be found on their website.
