During the open enrollment period beginning November 1, Ambetter from Home State Health will offer health insurance plans to residents in 109 Missouri counties for the 2026 plan year. The coverage is available through the Health Insurance Marketplace, with enrollment open until January 15, 2026. Residents who enroll by December 15 will have coverage starting January 1.
Ambetter from Home State Health is a product of Centene Corporation and aims to provide insurance options to under-insured and uninsured populations. Shawn Furey, Interim President and CEO of Home State Health, stated: “At Home State Health, our mission is to help Missourians live healthier lives by expanding access to quality, affordable care. By offering Ambetter plans in 109 counties across the state, we’re giving more individuals and families the opportunity to find coverage that fits their needs and their budget.”
The insurance plans include coverage for essential health benefits such as preventive services, maternity care, pediatric services, mental health support, hospitalizations, and prescription drugs. Some options also cover dental and vision care.
Centene’s off-exchange marketplace business offerings are delivered through Ambetter Health Solutions. These individual health insurance plans work with Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs), supporting employers who use this reimbursement model by offering employees customizable and affordable coverage options in select states like Missouri.
Enrollment can be completed online using mobile devices via the Ambetter from Home State Health website. The platform allows users to compare plans, check eligibility for financial assistance, enroll directly in coverage, save progress if unable to finish immediately, and receive reminders.
Members can participate in the My Health Pays program by completing healthy activities to earn up to $500 in rewards during 2026. These points can be used toward premiums or other qualified expenses but not pharmacy copays.
Ambetter from Home State Health also offers Virtual 24/7 Care for access to licensed providers via telehealth for various common illnesses without leaving home.
