Rozelle Facison, aged 49, has been arrested in connection with a structure fire that occurred in Alamo, as announced by Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King. The incident took place on May 26, 2025, at approximately 5:26 a.m., when the Alamo Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Glenwood Road. The fire resulted in the complete destruction of the structure.

During the investigation of the scene, authorities discovered one deceased canine locked in a metal cage. Fortunately, no other fatalities were reported.

Commissioner King stated, “Upon arrival, investigators performed a burn-pattern analysis and interviewed several witnesses to the fire.” He further added that “as a result of the investigation, Rozelle Facison was arrested on five charges, including but not limited to Arson in the First Degree and Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.”

The case is being handled collaboratively with assistance from partners at the Alamo Fire Department, Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office, and McRae-Helena Police Department.

The Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire aims to protect Georgia families by ensuring access to essential insurance products and maintaining safe buildings through fair regulation.
