Ambetter Health, a product of Centene Corporation, will offer health insurance plans in 58 Iowa counties for the 2026 plan year. The open enrollment period for the Health Insurance Marketplace begins on November 1, 2025, and runs through January 15, 2026. Residents who enroll by December 15, 2025, will have coverage starting January 1, 2026.

The company states that its plans cover essential health benefits such as preventive and wellness services, maternity and newborn care, pediatric services, mental health services, hospitalizations, and prescription drugs. Some plans also include dental and vision coverage.

Enrollment can be completed online through the Ambetter Health website using computers or mobile devices. The platform allows users to compare coverage options and check eligibility for financial subsidies. Progress is saved if an applicant cannot finish enrollment in one session.

Members can participate in the My Health Pays program to earn up to $500 in rewards during 2026 by completing health-related activities. These rewards can be used for expenses like premiums and copays but not pharmacy copays. In Iowa, members may use their prepaid debit Visa card at Hy-Vee stores.

Ambetter Health also offers Virtual 24/7 Care with access to licensed providers via telehealth for common illnesses such as flu or ear infections.

A complete list of the counties where Ambetter Health will be available is posted at https://ambetterhealth.com/en/ia/health-plans/coverage-map. Additional information about enrollment is available at https://ambetterhealth.com/en/ia.
