Ambetter Health, a health insurance product offered by Centene Corporation subsidiaries, has started its 13th year on the Health Insurance Marketplace as open enrollment begins. The company serves 5.8 million members in 29 states and over 1,700 counties.

“Open enrollment is a critical time for millions of Americans to choose the coverage that fits their lives,” said Kevin Counihan, Chief Executive Officer at Ambetter Health. “With more than a decade of experience on the Marketplace, Ambetter Health brings together national reach with local expertise, ensuring our members have access to plans that meet their care needs and deliver the high-quality coverage they deserve.”

Ambetter Health has introduced new tools and communications aimed at making renewal and enrollment easier for members. These updates include improvements to the Online Member Account, expanded renewal guidance, and an educational campaign about potential cost changes and the importance of updating income information to maintain financial support. The company has also worked closely with brokers through virtual and in-person sessions to help consumers during open enrollment.

For 2026, Ambetter Health’s offerings include coverage for essential health benefits such as preventive services, maternity care, pediatric services, mental health services, hospitalizations, prescription drugs, and some plans with dental and vision coverage.

The insurer is launching condition-specific plans starting in 2026. Some Premier plans will offer lower out-of-pocket costs for medications and supplies for diabetes management—including $0 copays for preferred insulin—and similar savings for asthma or COPD management with $0 copays on certain medications and specialist visits.

Ambetter Health Solutions provides individual insurance compatible with Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs) in select states including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. This helps employers control costs while giving employees more choice in their health coverage options.

Eligible members can participate in the My Health Pays program in participating states. In 2026 this program allows members to earn up to $500 in rewards (amounts vary by state), which can be used toward healthcare expenses or other essentials like utilities or rent depending on state regulations.

Members also have access to Virtual 24/7 Care through telehealth services for common illnesses from home.

The open enrollment period runs from November 1, 2025 through January 2026; end dates differ by state. More information is available at www.ambetterhealth.com.
