During the open enrollment period starting November 1, Ambetter from Louisiana Healthcare Connections will offer health insurance plans in 22 parishes across Louisiana for the 2026 plan year. Ambetter is a product of Centene Corporation, which provides insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace to under-insured and uninsured populations.
The open enrollment window runs from November 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026. Those who enroll by December 15 will have coverage that begins on January 1.

Ambetter from Louisiana Healthcare Connections provides members with coverage for essential health benefits such as preventive services, maternity and newborn care, pediatric services, mental health support, hospitalizations, and prescription drug coverage. Some plans also include dental and vision benefits.
The online platform allows users to compare options, check eligibility for financial subsidies, and enroll using computers or mobile devices. The system saves progress if enrollment cannot be completed at once and sends reminders for unfinished applications.
Members can participate in the My Health Pays program to earn up to $500 in rewards during 2026 by completing healthy activities. These rewards can be used toward expenses like premiums or copays but not pharmacy copays.
A virtual care option is available around the clock so members can consult licensed providers via telehealth for common illnesses without leaving home.
