Allstate and the Atlantic Coast Conference announced a new multiyear sponsorship agreement on May 13 that will expand Allstate’s support for college athletics and provide additional opportunities for student-athletes across the conference.
The partnership makes Allstate the Official Insurance Sponsor of both the ACC and ACC Network, as well as the title sponsor of the ACC Women’s Softball Championship and ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship. This marks the first time these two championship events have had an entitlement sponsor, signaling increased investment in both men’s and women’s sports within the conference.
Jim Phillips, Ph.D., Commissioner of the ACC, said: “College athletics is about opportunity, teamwork and leadership, and this relationship reflects those values. We’re proud to expand our relationship with Allstate, and appreciate Disney and ESPN, as we collectively bring new visibility and resources to our championships and student‑athletes across the ACC.”
Elizabeth Brady, chief marketing, customer and communications officer at Allstate, said: “Allstate believes every student‑athlete deserves to be seen, supported and celebrated. The relationship with the ACC allows us to elevate women’s and men’s sports across the conference and invest in young people who are leading on their campuses and in their communities.” Danielle Brown of Disney Advertising added: “College athletics continue to deliver one of the most powerful environments for brands to connect with passionate, highly engaged fans, and this deal with Allstate brings that to life in a special way. Together with the ACC, we’re creating a fully integrated opportunity that spans live game action, championship moments and storytelling across our platforms…”
The agreement was developed alongside Disney Advertising. It includes integrated marketing efforts using full access to conference intellectual property for national campaigns spanning multiple media platforms. The sponsorship builds on Allstate’s long-standing involvement in collegiate athletics through university partnerships, academic scholarships since 2005 via its Good Hands Nets program—which has raised millions—and recognition initiatives like Good Works Teams since 2008.
Founded over seventy years ago with eighteen member institutions across twelve states supporting twenty-eight NCAA sports (fifteen for women; thirteen for men), according to information provided by both organizations’ public statements.
